The Valentine I made for my Sweetheart

It's well past Valentine's Day now, but I did want to post this Valentine that I made and gave to my husband this year. I made it with fabric from my stash ironed on with double-sided fusible web. I want to make more of these soon, maybe with different variations on this theme...like maybe the little boy holding a fishing rod and maybe the little girl holding a bouquet of flowers. I love the Sunbonnet Sue quilt patterns, and I need to make a Sunbonnet Sue quilt someday. But until then, it's fun to play with the design with smaller-scale projects like this.

Thank you! He did seem to appreciate it a lot. He kept looking at what I wrote inside, too...I hope that you're doing better, Shorty. You continue to be in my prayers. I'm going to check your blog soon to see if you have any updates.

It's been awhile. . . how are you doing?

Hi, Tulipgirl! Thank you for the comment, and for noticing my absence for the past month. It's been a really busy time for us--extra work at the ministry, company every weekend at home, and I haven't been able to keep up with the blog as I had hoped to do. But I've taken a few photos of projects I've done, and I finally uploaded them to the blog last night. So I'm hoping to find time this week to write a few posts...I hope that you're doing well, too. Are you and your family all well again, I hope? It sounded like you really got hit hard with a nasty flu bug. God's blessings!...Karen
