Spring is finally here!

I took this photo two weeks ago, and I haven't had time since then to post it to the web. My tulips are now past, but my irises are starting to develop blossoms, and I've been thrilled to see that spring is finally here. In fact, we had the whole month of May to enjoy spring-like weather. We just turned the air conditioning on today for the first time since 2007, because the temps are in the 80s today.

Thanks to Kira and her siberian husky coat, I have had the A/C on for awhile down here. She gets pukey if she gets too hot so I have to keep my place at 70 degrees for her. I am afraid to see the gas/electric bill when they arrive....

We haven't had any temperatures here as warm as 80 since last year. So I think even with Kira you might not have needed the A/C here until last Sunday. And now it's cool again...Such is life in Minne-snow-tah or Minne-so-cold, as some call Minnesota. Maybe you need to plan a vacation up north in the heat of the summer? We love going up to the North Shore/Duluth area. It's too cold in the winter for my taste, but it's great in the summer.

Bonjour, fanchon68! And merci beaucoup for visiting my blog and commenting! I took three years of French in high school, but I'm afraid that most of it is gone at this point. I loved visiting your country back in the mid-1980s on my class trip, and I'd love to visit your blog, too, someday. God's blessings to you, too!
